Hey guys,

We are taking this week off for Spring Break and will be back next week with new #LiveFully posts and stories.  Thanks for checking in and even more importantly, thanks for building this community with us.  We look forward to continuing down this journey with each of you.

#LiveFully

Social Media has clearly revolutionized the way we interact with the world. We can literally connect with hundreds of millions of people in seconds. Their purpose is to help you engage with the world, but research is showing that social media actually has a negative affect on our social lives.

Check out this news story:

Now, we love Social Media around here. The hashtag in our name obviously shows that, but we do need to remember what is truly important. It has been said that we are the most connected generation of all-time, but we are also the most lonely. Continue Reading…

Today is part 2 of our incredible interview with Jeff Goins. I’ve listened to it a few times, and every time it gets better. Seriously. If you missed part 1, find it here. Since we recorded using google+ and screen capture, the video quality obviously isn’t state of the art. So, if you just want the audio, you can download the entire podcast here (right click to download it). Like yesterday, you can read his interview the end of this post.

This stuff is gold I tell you! Gold! Remember, don’t forget to check out Jeff Goins at his blog or his twitterContinue Reading…

If you have an ounce of creativity, this interview is for you. Even if you don’t, you’ll still find reasons to love this guy. Today we have the honor of interviewing Jeff Goins. He is an amazing writer with a lot of influence, and even has a new book coming out in August. You can find all of his great writing advice and check out his e-books on his website http://goinswriter.com

The stuff Jeff has to offer here is gold. We tried to edit it down, but there is too much good stuff! So we’ve split the interview up into two parts, and there are three different ways you can digest it.

First, we have the video recording of our google+ hangout. Second, we transcribed the interview if you prefer reading to watching a video. Third, tomorrow, when we post part 2, we will also include a downloadable audio file so you can listen in the car or on a run or wherever you want.

And now, if you prefer reading… Continue Reading…

For some, Christian spirituality is just another haphazardly managed part of life that happens on Sundays, but also on Wednesdays if you are real committed. For others, spiritual life is holistic and transformational to every area of life.

For some, Christianity only validates a few jobs as spiritual. For others, it validates work  from every cultural sphere as opportunity to creatively advance the Kingdom of God.

For some, spiritual life is like an old school MP3 player that only has one mode.  Its focus is narrow and cannot be integrated with other different functions.  This kind of spirituality does not connect with the majority of everyday  issues, and often fails to translate into practical living. The Hunger Games

Evan Forester —  March 23, 2012

* Don’t forget you can easily win free #LiveFully shirts and stickers this week right here! May the odds be ever in your favor…

The Hunger Games movie releases today, and everyone will be hearing about it. In fact, most people already have heard about it. Suzanne Collins’ book, that this film is based on, has sold millions of copies. Additionally, box office pre-sale numbers have been record breaking.

I have not yet seen the movie (although I will be tonight at 8:55pm*), but I have read the books. They are definite page turners, they are intense, even brutal, and definitely thought provoking. Here are some key themes to look out for Continue Reading…

*Don’t forget, you can still win 1 of 10 free t-shirts and 50 free stickers. Check out our Monday post and you will see how to win! It’s easier than losing in basketball to Michael Jordan.

We don’t typically post on Thursdays, but we really wanted to highlight a very cool video some students made in the Atlanta area. It is titled “Cage” and it is powerful. In the video, you will see some real life struggles people go through in efforts to find full life.  Without giving anything else away, here is the video:

First, special props to the makers of this film: Oakleigh, Amanda, Daniel, and Kevin. Awesome job! Second, if you’re wondering that song is called “My Body is a Cage” by Arcade Fire.

We love this video because it shows the bondage that sin puts us in, and the freedom that comes from running to Jesus. So often, we are tricked into thinking the things of this world can bring us happiness, but time and time again we find that they only hurt us.

Jesus, on the other hand, is the truth. And when you know the truth, the truth will set you free.

What are your thoughts on the video? Are there things in your life keeping you away from Living Fully?

Every Wednesday we celebrate real life stories of followers of Jesus that are impacting (not escaping) culture.  Today we hear from college student Zach Hunter- the author of three books, Be the Change, Generation Change, and Lose Your Cool.

He is 20 years old and a powerful (yet humble) voice in a new generation of activists who are putting their faith into action to address some of the most serious problems facing the world today. We are honored to feature him this week. Enjoy. #LiveFully

Don’t forget, we are giving away 10 #LiveFully shirts and 50 stickers this week, so enter to win here.  We love your feedback, so share your comments- building this community can only happen together. To learn more about Zach Hunter, check out his blog, Twitter, or Facebook.

Will You #LiveFully?

“Followers of Jesus should be most recognized for what they contribute to the world rather than what they are against in the world.”

Two HUGE things to see here.

First, we have a brand new vision video! In it you will see and hear and feel what #LiveFully is all about.

Second,  We want you #LiveFully so much that we are giving away 60 prizes! Winning is ridiculously easy, so keep moving down the page once you’re done with this video:

For more on what #LiveFully is all about, check out our Vision Page. Credit goes to Kyle Sklenar (@Kyle_sklenar) for making the video, and Schoolcraft for  background song “There in the Dark.”
